On Friday, October 3, grades 6-12 gathered to spend a day getting to know one another better, having fun, and building community. Project Connect is an initiative of Heritage School that recognizes the benefits of creating space in our school calendar for things that may not be "academic" but certainly meet the requirements of adding value and being mission appropriate. For the first time ever, this year's Project Connect was led exclusively by our seniors. There aren't many schools that will turn over a full day of the school year to their senior class. However, our seniors did a tremendous job of planning and executing the day.

"Project Connect this year was definitely more personal - especially since the seniors took total control of the event. It was really special to have the school administration have enough confidence in us to allow us to craft our own "Friday." Project Connect has always been one of my favorite days of the school year, and I did not want it to end. I'm proud that my class took it upon ourselves to make it the best Project Connect ever!" - Jamie Khuc, Class of 2015
Whether it was building a human machine, getting your team through the spider web, or crossing a lava field on carpet tiles, the experience of coming together, building teamwork, learning about each other, developing deeper relationships and simply having fun created a memorable day for all involved. Thanks to the class of 2015 for leading exceptionally!
