Heritage's inaugural fundraising gala event, the Black & White Ball, on Saturday brought out nearly 350 people to The Lodge event center to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our school and to help steward the next 25 years. It was an incredible display of love, generosity, class, and commitment to stewarding our future! Thank you to all the participants - sponsors, donors, organizers, attendees, and supporters from afar. A proper, named, thank-you to all involved will be in this next week's edition of the Fredericksburg Standard.
The event was a project birthed out of a desire to "get Heritage in the black" with outstanding debt, to allow freedom for Heritage's future. It brought out the best that Heritage and the Hill Country has to offer - alumni, parents, faculty, friends, and esteemed members of the Fredericksburg community. Alumni speakers Natalie Cook and Christian Scott spoke eloquently about their experiences at Heritage and lessons that they took from it, and guests were shown a collection of videos touching on the philosophy and vision of the school. A delicious dinner from Don Strange of Texas was served, and afterwards guests were treated to some timeless classic tunes from The Argyles. Overall, it was an amazing time!
