The Faculty, Students, Alumni & Families of Heritage School is cordially invited to attend a Reception: HONORING MR. BILL VORON. Join us at the reception, Monday, May 18th, 2015 at 2:30 in the afternoon, in Herzog Hall. We are celebrating Mr. Voron’s retirement after 50 years of teaching and trekking around the world.
Mr. Voron began his teaching career in his home town of Pittsburg, PA. Shortly thereafter, his need for adventure got the best of him and he joined the Peace Corp where he met and fell in love with his lovely wife of 46 years, Beverly Voron. Mr. Voron taught in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Ohio and Alaska before finally landing in Johnson City, Texas. Mr. Voron "(I) took the job for one year and ended up staying 23." His first retirement was in 1997 from the public school system. His love for teaching brought him to Heritage School in the fall of 1997 where he has taught literature, history, church history, debate and senior thesis.
We enjoyed a great day celebrating and honoring the incredible legacy of all our students!
