Last Friday Heritage School 4th graders dressed up as the American presidents they have been studying. They gave an oral report in the first person about their President or First Lady and gave accounts of their lives and presidencies. We enjoyed hearing from Jacqueline Lee "Jackie" Kennedy Onassis, Lady Bird Johnson, Rosalynn Carter, Grace Coolidge, William Howard Taft, Elizabeth Monroe, Ronald Reagan, Martha Jefferson, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, Grover Cleveland, Ulysses S. Grant, and Woodrow Wilson. They learned the words to "Hail to the Chief" and learned about what it takes to be a good president. It was a lot of fun!
November 13th was the grammar school’s 50th day of school. Kindergarten classes “went back to the 50’s” to celebrate our learning up to this point in the school year.
Mrs. Zschappel's 4th grade class takes a field trip to explore a cave, pan for gems and then visit a working rock quarry.
Kindergarten,1st and 2nd grades enjoyed a visit from the Fredericksburg Fire Marshall Kyle Koch. Students enjoyed seeing the fire truck, watching all the fire equipment be put on and learning more about fire safety. Of course students loved spraying the great big fire hose!
The Upper School, under the leadership of the senior class, spent the day building community and having fun.
